He is able to speak effectively to individuals and groups, he is able to translate between Kinyarwanda, English and French, and he is able to use various skills to present ideas creatively for different audiences.
Bridge of Hope’s ultimate goal is to provide economic empowerment, an essential step to break the rigid cycle of poverty.
We work with single women throughout Rwanda. These women face hardships due to discrimination and poverty which directly affects the lives and futures of them and their children. At Turikumwe we are helping empower these women. We teach technical skills allowing independence and freedom and after training we offer employment and fair payment to our artisans. Our artisans create beautiful and traditional Rwandan products include clothing, baskets, purses, and backpacks. 100% of the profits go back to the women and into developing Bridge of Hope.
We envision a society where people are healthy, safe, and self-sufficient. A place where every person, regardless of their background, has a voice in their future and access to opportunities and resources to realize that future. We envision a community that finds strength in diversity and individuals that are empowered to pursue opportunities both locally and across the globe.
We work hard to provide support and training that young people need in order to be integrated into mainstream education, training and employment. It is our passion to help young people realize their potential to build a better future for themselves.
Bridge of Hope is dedicated to promoting the socio-economic wellbeing of disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young women by empowering them to live in a manner that allows for their adjustment into mainstream society.
